Анотація

Монографія Х. Баталіної «Дитина як втілення зла у фільмах жахів ХХ–ХХІ ст.» (2023) присвячена одному з найцікавіших типів сучасного екранного хоррору. Авторка в рецензованій монографії, що є продовженням попередніх досліджень в авторефераті дисертації (Січна, 2018a), дисертації кандидатки мистецтвознавства «Образ дитини як центрального персонажа у фільмах жахів другої половини XX – початку XXI століття» (Січна, 2018b), а також у статтях «До історії створення та інтерпретацій одного з міфів сучасного кінематографічного "хоррору"» (Костюк, 2011), «До історії розвитку образу дитини у фільмах жахів» (Костюк, 2012а), «Передумови для виникнення образу дитини як носія зла в сучасному українському та російському кінематографі» (Костюк, 2012b), «Екранні мистецтва як засіб формування сучасної міфологічної свідомості» (Костюк, 2013a), «Містичні мотиви у творчості Юрія Іллєнка» (Костюк, 2013b), «Італійський хоррор 60-х: ірраціональний жах на екрані» (Костюк, 2016), «Насильство в контексті історії світового кіно» (Batalina and Kostiuk, 2022), аналізує наслідки введення дитячого образу в систему загроз, що знаменувало радикальну трансформацію у сфері ціннісних координат сучасного суспільства. У роботі також розглянуто найбільш знакові фільми в межах обраного напряму за тематичними, жанровими та стилістичними ознаками.
